NEW ARTISTS
Fifteen new artists have joined us for the month of August, 2008
NEW GALLERIES
Six new art galleries are negotiating with one or more of our artists.
JOINT VENTURE
Signing of a joint venture deal with Yajnavalka (www.Yajnavalka.com) to work with Artisan Direct Artists with respect to posters, licensing and open edition prints.
ART SHOWS
Artisan Direct continues to sign up artists who want to exhibit at US art shows.
Artisan Direct is pleased to announce that it will be co-promoting a new art show in Rochester, New York, called ArtShow Rochester to be held in February, 2009.
CO-OP ADVERTISING
Artisan Direct is currently taking orders for its first co-op ad to appear in the December issue of Art News. Space is limited, but a few spots remain open.
QUALIFIED ARTISTS
We are always looking for qualified artists to join our Artisan Direct network. Please let us know if you know anyone that might be interested.
FYI
A number of galleries are now approaching artists to rent wall space from them to exhibit their art work. The galleries are charging as much as $2500 for a few week rental, promising that they will help promote the exhibit or a show. The two galleries I know of are Fusion Gallery—Miami, Fl. and Amsterdam Whitney Gallery in New York City. Unfortunately I do not have any results to share with you.
Thank you for your continued support as we continue to develop resources to help artists and galleries develop their businesses.
