Chris Twomey is an award-winning artist living in New York City. Awards include a Ford grant, CAPS, the Kitchen Center, and Experimental TV grant and American Film Institute Directing Internship. Recent 2010 solo exhibitions include ASTRAL FLUFF: Carnal Bodies in Celestial Orbit at CREON Gallery, NYC and CHRIS TWOMEY & Core Constellation at Westbeth Gallery, NYC.
Twomey’s first solo exhibition, “Omni Series, Art and Genetics in a Digital Age”, was shown at Tribes gallery in New York and was both broadcast on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 and featured in print reviews. In 2006, Twomey’s second solo multi-media exhibition, “Madonna Series” received reviews in Art in America, The Scientist, Art and Science Collaborations, Inc. and NYArts Magazine. Since 1999, Twomey has exhibited widely in group art exhibitions around the USA and has work in the permanent collection of the Museum of New Art, Detroit, Rhizome Artbase, and other private collections.
