Michael Lynne’s father was a professional dancer, and that meant that Michael got all the white cardboard shirt inserts from the dry cleaners to draw on. Over time, this kindled an intense love of drawing and painting. Years later, Michael graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a major in illustration and a minor in painting. A three-year career in advertising ended when the company Michael worked for moved south. Counseled at RIT to consider a teaching degree, Michael did exactly that, and after completing his Master’s degree, he experienced a rewarding 30-plus year career in art education. Michael is now retired and devoting all his time to his painting studio.
