In 1992-93, Sevgi Soylu Koyuncu attended Nottingham Polytechnic University and did project work in England.

In 1996, she obtained scholarship from Italian Government. Teaching as a professor in 2005, she was the director of Fine Arts Department, Education Faculty in Ondokuz Mayıs University. She was also the president of Fine Arts Institution in OnDokuz Mayıs University. She is currently continuing her work in the Graphics department of the same university as an instructor.

Activities
• 1983—lithography with the subject of “war and thereafter” was praised in the competition of “our problems” which was organised by The Chamber of Architects of Turkey.
• 1993—art consultant of the first Book & Culture & Art Fair of Fırat University. She prepared the posters, the emblems and the brochures of the event.
• 1994—two works were exhibited in the caricature competition of “Struggling against Cigarette”. Her works were included in the caricature album.
• 2002—V. International Watercolor Biannual Mexico.
• 2003—International Triannual of Graphic Art Bitola.
• 2004— 1st International Isparta / Eğirdir Sculpture Symposium.

Some of her water paintings were used in the postcards of TAP and TEMA Associations.

Her stories are published in Varlık, Hece Öykü, Yom Sanat, Düzyazı; Defteri magazines. Her art criticisms also take place in Hece, Anadolu Sanat magazines. Her storybook Gelincikler Geceye Düşer was published in May 2005. She obtained the “third prize” in 2005 Sabit Ince story competition.
